Early in 2006 the foundation was registered with the Indonesian government as:

Yayasan Kobus, WPWP:02.229.296-5-702.000.

The director of the foundation is Jacques Maessen, an Indonesian citizen of Dutch origin, who has been working since 1969 in defense of the interests of the indigenous Dayak population of West Kalimantan.
